About Renell Michael White
Theatrical Acting Expertise
Renell Michael White is an actor and writer based in Atlanta, recognized for grounded, commanding presence on screen, from Randy “Huggie” Huggins on STARZ’s BMF to recurring Officer Conan on Tyler Perry’s The Haves and the Have Nots. His television work also includes Netflix’s Cobra Kai and Comedy Central’s For the Defense, and his film credits include Kill the Irishman and BET+’s Christmas Party Crashers.
Renell’s foundation is classical. He holds an MFA in Acting from CalArts and a BFA from Wayne State University, and studied at the Moscow Art Theatre School and the British American Drama Academy. On stage, he has played Brick in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Shango in Tarell Alvin McCraney’s In the Red and Brown Water, and Tiger Brown in The Threepenny Opera, and he developed sketch work with The Second City.
Off camera, he is a certified personal trainer, and he is developing IYKYK, an hour-long dramedy about the life behind an Atlanta trainer’s social media feed. He is a SAG-AFTRA member represented by Houghton Talent.
